Katie Sawicki (right) lists Ani Difranco as one of her influences, and kind of sounds like Ani Difranco, but before Ani Difranco got all straight and had a baby/before I turned fifteen. And maybe if Ani Difranco listened to folk music other than her own, and was rougher around the edges and younger, much younger and less sad, more hardened, and maybe also a little less experienced in making herself a commodity. Music that calls for a rough week and a warm environment or else you just might not get it.
