Chief (right) hails from Brooklyn (don't we all) and from what I can tell they seem to play unpretentious and endearing folk-inspired rock. They're pretty mellow, but it's totally feasible that you might catch someone at this concert doing an accidental and overzealous headbang in the front row.

Rumspringa (left) is a two-man band from Los Angeles and their music is, appropriately, kind of spooky. They're not from New York (points for originality) -- so apologies in advance for the obnoxious reference I'm about to drop -- but they sound like something that might come out of the speakers at stores like Trash and Vaudeville. (Iggy Pop lite?) Or maybe they're just like Jimmy Webb, and all they want to do is just "spread the good old rock-and-roll love."

Savoir Adore (right) is also from Brooklyn (count it!) and they are totally creepy. But creepy in the "collects the hair of ex-lovers and braids them into a placemat" or "collects porcelain dolls and scratches their eyes out" way. Which is to say, creepy in the best ways ever. (Although not creepy enough that I am going to forgive them for calling themselves "Bushwick Fantasy Rock.")

Spirit Marines (below) is a band "from Brooklyn" and I'm kind of embarrassed by how much I effused about them in this post. They're great, and if they ever were to go so far as to call themselves Bushwick Fantasy Rock, I would totally forgive them, because they make me dance and truth be told, they are kind of a Bushwick fantasy.
